Most of our students describe being at QCAC as the most enjoyable period of their lives. We hope that your involvement with any of over a dozen societies at the college will make the campus life better and lighter. Involvement in our clubs and societies joins together individuals with similar views and opinions, which creates an opportunity for developing new ideas, discovering hidden talents, cultivating interpersonal skills and providing a way to accomplish collectively what could not be done individually. The college is committed to student’s involvement, with a belief steadfastly grounded in the knowledge that students who participate in activities will ultimately get more out of their college experience. In so doing, you will contribute positively to the larger environment in which you live. As you can imagine, there is far more to college than the academic experience. The college student organizations leave their own special mark on the cultural, social and intellectual life of the college. Your level of enjoyment at the college will usually correlate to your level of involvement in the activities in the campus outside of the classroom. Hang out or be inside the campus, indulge in the clubs & societies while you're here, as this is an experience most people don’t get again.
Your years at QCAC can be a time to really develop yourself as a person. You can develop the skills and talents you already have and add some new strings to your bow. If you’ve ever wanted to act, sing, play a game, debate, or delve into another culture, this is the time to do it.
This part of the site is all about getting the most out of your time at QCAC with links to all the clubs and societies you can join, information on accommodation, an introduction to some of the opportunities you can access as a QCAC student and a section covering transport and parking, so you can actually get there. Being bored should never be a problem while you're on campus, the real problem should be finding the time to fit everything in.
The office of student advisor provides support to each student organization, club and societies with the hope of promoting participation, leadership and personal growth. We hope you will visit us in the student advisor’s office within the prescribed times to ask questions and get information about joining an organization, club or society. If your interests would not match with any currently existing organization, we will be happy to assist you in considering alternatives.
Put it another way we are committed to your ultimate success, both as a student and as a contributing force within the college and the society. We welcome your feedback at any time. Best of luck to you and your club this year!
